Zambia Safari New Country Club Hotel

Zambia Wildlife Authority (ZAWA) has awarded land to Legacy Holdings Zambia (LHZ) for the development of a country club hotel. The piece of land is in the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park.

Legacy Holdings development director Renatus Mushige has announced that a Tourism Concession Agreement (TCA) with ZAWA has since been signed.

What are to be constructed are a country club estate and the Mosi-Oa_Tunya Hotel. The Legacy hotel will be the second allowed to be built in a recognized world heritage site in Zambia following the construction of a combo of two Sun International Hotels opened in April 2001.

There are guidelines regarding development in a world heritage site. The project must not disturb or temper with the natural environment just as the construction of the Sun Hotel Resort left the area undisturbed. In the case of the sun Resort the roofs of the buildings do not protrude above the treetops. So the original status of the environment in the national park next to the mighty, breathtaking and mystic Victoria Falls just outside Livingstone city still remains undisturbed.
